Personality: Vash displays two different personalities. Vash usually exaggerates foolish characteristics to make people feel unthreatened and to hide his identity. He exhibits an almost obsessive love of doughnuts, engages in lecherous behavior, and on at least one occasion claimed his real name was Valentinez Alkalinella Xifax Sicidabohertz Gumbigobilla Blue Stradivari Talentrent Pierre Andres Charton-Haymoss Ivanovicci Baldeus George Doitzel Kaiser III (although this is false). Vash's reputation as "The Humanoid Typhoon" is legendary, as is the damage and destruction associated with his presence. However, when those around him are threatened, Vash shows complete focus and control. Because Vash refuses to kill any of his opponents, he often suffers at the hands of a number of very persistent enemies. As a result, his body is a patchwork of large scars, chunks of missing flesh supported by metal mesh, and stitch marks.
Origin: Konoha
Ninja Village: Konoha
Rank: Jounin
Blood Line/Clan: Uciha ClanCharacter's History: Birth - AcademyVash was born in the village hidden in the leave known to all as Konohagakure and is part of the infamous uchiha clan, atleast on his father's side. His mother who Vash took after more in the looks department had a rather romanticized view of the world and tried to teach him the value of life, and how violence really only leads to more violence. Vash took this to heart, and even went as far as to promis that he would never kill anyone should he ever get the chance too. From the time he could walk and talk Vash's father would train him whenever he wasn't out on a mission. They would work on Vash's Taijutsu and even his chakra control.
When he turned 6 he entered into the academy using his mothers maiden surname as to not set everyone’s expectations high because of his heritage where he struggled his way through the classes and the constant complaints from the older kids in his class who started at a higher age than he did. Though he really didn't do so well with his classes more because they bored him too sleep than their actual difficulty he was a natural with elemental ninjutsu. Vash made it through the academy in one piece more or less mainly with the help of his only friend Knives.
GeninVash and his friend Knives were assigned to the same team upon graduation from the academy. The first task for Vash and his team was to prove to their sensei that they deserved to keep their rank of genin and go on missions. The task was simple enough any one of them had to land a clean hit onto their sensei, through any means and with anything. The assignment started and before his teammates scattered Vash rapidly performed the handsigns to the fire ball jutsu which caught his sensei off guard and clean hit right in his sensei's chest ending the training session in record time. Though his sensei wished to protest the outcome he really couldn't because Vash did do exactly as he instructed.
Vash and his team went on quite a few easy missions over the next couple of months including some that took him away from the village for an extended period of time. Whenever he wasn't on missions or training with his team he would work on his talents and even learned that he was a natural at elements other than fire. Their mission schedule however prevented him from seeing his family very often. After their sixth month of doing simple low ranking missions Vash and his team were assigned an A-rank one where they had to hunt down and capture a konoha shinobi that had gone rogue. Though the mission was successful in the end it wasn't without a price, it cost Vash and his team their sensei just to capture the rogue alive as the mission demanded. This loss shook Vash too his core making it so that he never wanted to experience that feel of loss again.
After attending the funeral service of his sensei Vash and his team were assigned a new sensei, and returned to business as usual. They spent the next six months getting used to their new sensei and performing missions that varied from simple grocery runs to protection detail. Finally after Vash and his teammates had been together for one entire year their sensei made an announcement that they were nominated to participate in the chuunin exams that were being held in konoha. Without even thinking about it Vash and his teams agreed to sign up.
The first exam was a written test held at the ninja academy, where the idea was to gather information without being caught. Though complicated Vash and his team managed to scrape through it barely but they did. The next exam was a week long survival/item gathering test in a training area known as the forest of death, almost immediately upon entering into the forest Vash ran across another team of leaf village genin that graduated with Vash. After finding out that both teams held the same piece of the puzzle they decided that it would be best for them too work together to pass the exam. And in doing so they were extremely successful straight up till the next exam. The final exam was a tournament of sorts where those that made it past the second exam fight it out to show off what they can do, and just cause they lose the round doesn't mean that they automatically don't get to pass and move onto their next rank.
The first round for Vash was up against a ninja from the hidden cloud village. Preferring to end the fight quickly Vash charged at the ninja knocking him unconscious in a single lightning quick blow. The next round that Vash Participated in was against one of his own teammates. Rather than ending the fight quickly like he did the last one he didn't even draw a weapon instead he and his teammate showed off their skills at close range combat using nothing but hand to hand combat. After about an hour Vash emerged the victor after delivering a clean round house kick to the side of his teammates head.
The final match that Vash Participated in was against his Knive. The two of them moved as if they were a mirror image of the other mainly through the help of Vash's sharingan. The match ended in a perfect tie. The both of them landed a knock out hit on the other. After Vash and his brother woke up they were called to the hokage's office where they both received their Flak Jackets as well as officially obtaining the rank of Chuunin.
ChuuninNow that the both of them had obtained the Rank of chuunin they were allowed to take on more difficult missions, and were in fact made to lead some of them. Though he was now a chuunin he was still a member of the same team that he was as a genin at least for a majority of the missions. For the next year Vash and his team successfully completed each mission that was assigned to them with little to no trouble. Heck they even did most of them without their sensei. Vash and his team were assigned to an A-rank mission where they had to escort a dangerous criminal to a different prison though the mission was lengthy it really didn't seem to deserve its high ranking because of how peaceful it was. The group returned to the village after their long travel and Vash was looking forward to a little bit of downtime before he and his team were to take on their next assignment. But as Vash had arrived home he learned that the team that Knives had been assigned to lead hadn't returned from their last mission yet and the village hasn't even heard word from them yet and was assembling a team to go and try to find them.
As soon as he had heard the news he immediately went down to the Hokage's office and begged to be added to the team. The Hokage obliged his request and Vash was assigned to be a part of one of the search parties that was going out. The group he was assigned to consisted of specially trained hunter nin that were all over the rank of jounin which made it extremely hard for Vash to keep up with them as they left. When the group got to the last known location of Knives' team they found nothing but carnage, body parts were strewn everywhere and the bodies were so mangled that Identifying any one person in the mess was almost impossible though they did manage to find four metal plates that belonged to leaf village shinobi in the wreckage and Vash feared the worse as he found one that held a tattered red piece of cloth still attached to one corner of it, much like the way Knives' headband was. Vash managed to hold himself together till he returned to his home and delivered the metal plate to his mother.
Soon their after the second great shinobi war broke out. Vash and his team were assigned for intelligence gathering mainly which suited Vash fine because he wouldn't be expected to kill anyone. And whenever they would end up in combat Vash would hide his disdain for killing by saying something like “Can't get information out of a corpse,” or “Why kill them, There is a chance he is more useful to us alive.”
It was during the war that Vash obtained the nickname of the Humanoid Typhoon, because whenever he would be assigned to a mission on his own no matter what it was, if it had to do with the war a he would leave a path of destruction as if he was a force of nature, and because the destruction would seem to follow him even if it wasn't himself that caused it the name just stuck. It was also during this time that Vash obtained a majority of the scars and injuries that cover him from head to toe.
After the fourth year of the war rumor started to circulate about a Phantom that would just appear in the battles and kill people no matter whose side they were on in fact Vash's teammates had an encounter with the phantom while Vash was on another assignment. Only one member of his team had survived, at least long enough to get back to the village. When Vash had heard the news he stopped in to see his teammate in order to get a bit of information out of him about the phantom. Though what he learned sent chills right down to his bones. His teammate mentioned how the only things he remembered about the phantom was that his eyes seemed to pierce right to his soul, and the phantom's weapon, it was a gun that was almost identical to Vash's the only difference was that the phantom's gun was black while Vash's was silver. Without even having to think about it he knew who the phantom was, it was his best friend, a person he would have been glad to call his brother Million Knives.
Now Vash had a reason to go to the front lines, to stop his brother from killing his allies. After arranging for his transfer to the front lines Vash spent the next two years following the rumors of The Phantom of The Battlefield's appearance's no matter who the source of the information was until just before the final battle of the war Vash met up with his brother. Even though Vash knew that Knives didn't value life like he did Vash still didn't want to believe that he had killed so many people indiscriminately. Vash tried to talk with Knives hoping to find out that his suspicions of him were false but Knives admitted to the charges proudly. Vash could just tell by looking in his brother's eyes that the only way this meeting was going to end was in a fight and there was nothing that Vash could say or do to change that fact. Even though the last thing he wanted to do was fight his blood thirsty brother he couldn't just let him go out onto the field of battle and kill everyone so he drew his weapon.
His brother responded by drawing his too, the two of them fought one another. Each time one of them would move, fire or attack the other would do exactly the same thing as if they were a mirror of one another, that is until Knives landed a piercing shot right into Vash's left elbow causing him to scream in agony as he tried to lift his left forearm unsuccessfully. Vash dropped his kunai, falling to his knees as he held onto his left arm right where the jutsu had pierced him. Knives took advantage of his brother's state of weakness as he fused with his weapon, his arm changing into a black barrel with wings and what appeared to be a chakra core. Vash looked up to find himself staring down the end of the barrel watching as the chakra was gathered inside of it as his brother charged for the attack. Mustering up the last of his strength Vash picked up his kunai and threw it impaling him right in the shoulder as the sudden shock of pain caused him to defuse with his weapon. Just as Knives collapsed a group of Konoha ninja showed up at the battle field, then Vash just passed out. He woke up about a three days later in the Konohagakure hospital his mother was sitting right beside his bed where she let him know how proud she was that he was able to capture his brother alive as well as how happy she was that Vash was safe and the war was over. As soon as the Doctor gave Vash a clean bill of health he reported to the Hokage's office where he was assigned the rank of jounin.
JouninAs a Jounin Vash spent the next year doing various missions on his own especially those involving war relief for the neighboring villages in the land of fire. Most of them were easy, boring, but necessary. As of now Vash was preparing for the hardest task yet, Taking the role of sensei for his very own team of genin.
